Reports To: YTCCS Executive Director
Job Summary | The YTCCS Executive Assistant is a new role that works closely with the Executive Director to serve as a link between upper management, staff and stakeholders. This role will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, keeping the Executive Director aware of priority issues, maintaining YTCCS as an organized and co-ordinated workplace, and leading the office team in ways that keep them engaged and effective in their roles. As with all staff, the Executive Assistant helps to create a physically and psychologically healthy work environment, ensuring high levels of communication and safety. Overall, the Executive Assistant supports YTCCS’ objective to carry out productive and efficient operations that support sustainable growth within the organization and good relations with external groups. |

Qualifications
- Minimum requirements for this role are a high school diploma and related work experience in a legal environment or with an Indigenous-serving organization.
- Previous experience working with senor leaders is an asset
*Equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required
- Suitable Security Screening (Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check)
- Additional pre-employment screening may be required

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
- Ability to work with diverse population of youth, families, staff and Elders.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of Cree, Nakota Sioux, and Salteaux traditions and culture
- Ability to communicate both in written form and verbally
- Proven team player
- Knowledge of the justice system, such as court processes and documents
- Demonstrated flexibility to meet job requirements while maintaining healthy personal boundaries
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong IT Skills including ability to utilize computer software and programs such as Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe, etc.
- High-energy, positive, warm, and patient personality. Possess imagination and creativity.
- Able to effectively handle sensitive and confidential information
